Sanitha & Sajeetha Welfare Trust

The Deed of this Trust was executed on 8th day of August, 1997 by "Authors of the Trust" Mr.A.S.Jose, Mr.Soman Baby and Mr. Francis Joseph, all having permanent residence in Kerala, India and were working in Bahrain and attested by Sri. Dalbir Sing the then Assistant Consular Officer of the Embassy of India in Bahrain. The authors of this trust were the representatives of a voluntary body known as Coordination Committee of Indian Association (CCIA) which was functioning under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Bahrain and consisted of representatives of various registered Indian Associations, with the consent of Ministry of Labor and Social Affirs, State of Bahrain.
A tragic fire incident took place at Bahrain on 13-6-1997 where one Sri K.V.Paulose,Kulappurath House, Mudavoor P.O., Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam District, Kerala India and his wife Alemma Paulose along with only son Sandeep lost their lives leaving behind their two daughters Sanitha Ann Mary Paul,aged 6 years(born on02-07-1991)and Sajeetha, aged 3 years(born on 27-02-94) who are the beneficiaries of this Trust. Grieve stricken by the said incident and the future of the said two children the members of the public at Bahrain started contributing voluntarily to the CCIA to safeguard the future of the said children who were brought in the custody of their paternal grandparents in India.Accordingly the CCIA had taken up the cause and entrusted the same to the authors of the trust to authorize this trust in their independent capacity and to their discretion to accomplish the purpose.
The authors of the trust employed abroad met in Trivandrum in India on 26th July and registered the deed of the "SANITHA AND SAJEETHA WELFARE TRUST" on 8-8-1997 with provisions clearly stated to avail maximum benefit to the two children. The first trustees of the trust for life are:
1. Dr.Mathews Mar Severios, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kandanad of the Indian Orthodox Church,Mar Pachomios Mount,Meempara P.O.,Puthencruz-682308. His office was made the office also of the trust being its Managing Trustee.
2. Mr.Thomas Jacob,Associate Editor, Malayala Manorama, Kottayam or his nominee.
3. The paternal grand parent of the children Mr. K.P. Varghese, Kulappurath, Vazhappilly,Mudavoor,Muvattupuzha or his nominee.
4. The maternal grand fatherof the said children Mr. Mathai Varkey, Puthayathu, Adimali, 685561,Idukki or his nominee.
5. Soman Baby,author of the trust.
6. Francis Joseph, author of the trust.
7. A.S.Jose, author of the trust.
The said children Sanitha and Sajeetha are jointly the beneficiaries of the trust. The interest accrued from the amount deposited in the name of the trust is utilized now for the education and other expenses. The capital amount will be finally distributed equally between the two children as and when they complete the age of 30.If any one of them die without children her amount will be transferred to a similar social charitable trust. By the resolutions of the trust Dr. Mathews Mar Severios was made The Managing Trustee and Executive Trustee who regularly summon the trust meeting annually and take care of the welfare of the children till today. Both the grand fathers of the Children died and instead their nominees are in the trust now.
Sanitha joined in first standard at Muvattupuzha and Sajeetha in L.K.G in1997.
This year (2011) Sanitha is in the 3rd year B. Tech course (Electronics and Communications) in Mar Athanasius College ,Kothamangalam. Sajeetha is 1st Year B. Tech Course in the same institution.
It is worth mentioning that both the children show good progress in their studies.
